My house is looking for a new roommate available starting May 17th. Ideally, this is for someone okay with at least a one-year lease, if anyone you know may be looking for a place to live in La Mirada.
It would be an UNSHARED single bedroom with the closet in the hallway, and a shared bathroom. The whole interior of the house has been renovated in the last four years.
Some info on the house, area, all of us in the house, and the culture/environment:
- Rent is $1150/mo + 1 month's worth of security deposit (and a $45 credit and background check per the landlord).
- Renters insurance is required with proof (typically around $5/mo).
- We have AC/Heating!
- Utilities tend to hover around $165 a month but can go higher if we're running the A/C a lot during the hotter months.
- It is in a VERY nice and SAFE neighborhood. A number of our neighbors are Christians, and I haven't heard of a single issue of theft, vandalism, or violence in our area in the three years I've lived here.
- It's a 6-minute drive to Biola.
- We have a washer and dryer, a new dish washer, new stove, and new microwave.
- It is a four-bedroom house with 2.5 bathrooms, with each person having their own bedroom.
- Those of us still in the house have gone to Biola and are all in our career growth phase of life, so we're often working on our own things.
- We like having a nice and clean place that is mostly calm and quiet, so it would be great if we can find someone that desires the same.
- Because of all of this, the house honestly feels like only two people are there at a time.
- We value when we have fellow roommates that are considerate of each other, responsible, is financially stable, and able to take care of themselves well.
- Ideally, we'd like to have a staff/faculty member or someone in their Masters program as a roommate.
- We aren't a community-foocused house because of how busy we all are, but we're all really super cool and chill.
- We are looking for someone who is clean, considerate, responsible, and drama free.
